Distance Learning: For Parents
As school closures continue due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CVLCC will put in place a distance learning plan to continue to provide meaningful learning opportunities for our students. The intent of this distance learning plan is not to replace our in-school experience, but to provide students flexible and engaging virtual and independent spaces to continue to develop their critical thinking and acquire skills for their future academic success. We understand that families may be impacted in different ways and that circumstances will vary in each home. As students learn from a distance, they will receive grade for work they complete and we will ensure that the circumstances do not affect student’s grades in a negative way. The safety and well being of our students and their families is our priority during this complex and uncertain time. We crafted these plans with love and we want to assure you that we are here to support you.
We are aware that asking families to access online programs can create some challenges.
This page is meant to provide resources to support parent learning and improve the learning experience at home for students and parents. Of course, if you have any questions, or run into any problems, email your school site leader or send an email to Mr. Jacob Ruth or Mrs. Magda Maldonado - and we will do our best to support you!
The following resources will continue to grow over the course of the next few weeks.
Microsoft Teams is an online program students/teachers access using CVESD/CVLCC student email. Teams offers the ability for the teachers to share files, video conference, chat, and perform other online activities which will allow teachers to teach/create lessons.
