Response Team & Distance Learning Plans
Distance Learning at CVLCC
Each school site team has developed a Distance Learning Plan to best support students/families at home during campus closure. The Distance Learning Plans outline how Chula Vista Learning Community Charter school sites will provide opportunities for academic continuity during this period of extended closure. In order to combat the risk of isolation and detachment that can exist in distance learning while providing for flexibility, CVLCC schools will utilize a blend of asynchronous and synchronous learning opportunities for students, which may include online videoconferencing, virtual lessons, use of online programs, resources for self-directed study, and/or independent and collaborative work assignments. Distance learning is not intended to act as a full replacement for our established academic program; our plan is designed continue learning opportunities for our students. Our distance learning plan enables students to take part in meaningful learning experiences that will engage them in critical thinking while building essential knowledge, skills, and understanding they will need to be successful when we are able to re-engage in our full educational program. CVLCC recognizes that this is a fluid time, and we are continuously adjusting to what the California Department of Education outlines for schools.
