Chula Vista, CA 91911
The Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Elementary School (CVLCC) opened its doors in 1998 as the district's first start-up charter school. Its founders envisioned a school focused on challenging academics with a mindful approach to relationships and social change. The Dream School, as it was known throughout the initial planning sessions, focuses on skills students will need to acquire in order to become transformational leaders of the 21st Century. One that prepares students for their roles as capable, courageous and ethical members of society. CVLCC's most unique aspect is the dual language program. Since its inception, the school has exceeded expectations and has become a model for other elementary dual-immersion schools.
